O God, your only Son Jesus 
gave us the ideal example of living 
and dying faithfully. 

Grant us the grace to live our lives 
as your children, and to face our daily dyings 
with hope and faith in your ever-present love. 

Through your son, our Lord Jesus Christ, 
in the unity of the Holy Spirit, 
one God forever and ever.
