A reflection on today's Sacred Scripture:
.
Today, Holy Scripture gives us an account of Jesus' ministry in His native place. Sadly it recounts that because of their lack of faith, He did not work many mighty deeds there.
.
Are you ever on the brink of being complacent, disinterested and unimpressed? Does life ever seem to be losing its fizz like a Coke or Pepsi that's gone flat?
.
Certainly, there can be many reasons why our lives sometimes seem blah, but did you ever stop to think that maybe it's because your faith has become flat?
.
Think about it, consider it and if "the shoe fits. . ." (a phrase my dear mother used to say) do something!
.
Perhaps pray more, do some spiritual reading, listen to some sacred music. spend some time in the mysterious presence of the Blessed Sacrament. Be still, and unlike Jesus' own town folk, know that He is God, so that you may recognize His many mighty deeds and be filled with joy!
